DDF at Head to the Hill 2026
This year, DDF will be participating as an Advocate in BTAA's Head to the Hill at Parliament House, Canberra, on 14 October — sharing our lived experience with Daniela's journey through brain cancer and advocating for real change.

As an advocate, DDF will share our lived experience with Daniela's journey through brain cancer, as well as speaking to local Members of Parliament to outline three specific priorities for the brain cancer community, including asking the Australian Government to act on research, clinical care and support services.
Research and Clinical Trials
Partner with BTAA and the Australian Brain Tumour Collaborative to co-design the next phase and implementation of the Brain Cancer Research and Trials Roadmap, including how the $50 million MRFF investment is prioritised.
Clinical Care
Fund and support a National Brain Tumour Navigator Program so that every Australian diagnosed with a brain tumour has access to a specialist navigator, regardless of where they live. Currently there are only 29 Brain Cancer Coordinators nationally, which is not enough to help every patient and family through the complex system from diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, recurrence and end-of-life care.
Support Services
Co-fund the NAS by providing $725,000 per year for three years, alongside existing sector and partner investment. The NAS is a proven brain-cancer-specific service that helps patients and families navigate Commonwealth support systems.
