The intimate gathering brought together Directors of the Daniela Dwyer Foundation, Board members and volunteers from Lifeline Canberra, and Executive members of the National Australia Day Committee for a morning of connection, reflection and shared purpose.

The occasion was made possible through the extraordinary generosity of Her Excellency, who had offered the unique experience as an auction item at the Foundation's A Dinner for Change fundraising event earlier this year.

Set against the beautiful surrounds of Government House, the morning tea provided a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contributions of organisations and individuals dedicated to making a positive difference in the Canberra community and beyond.

For the Daniela Dwyer Foundation, the occasion was also an opportunity to share Daniela's story and the Foundation's ongoing commitment to improving outcomes for people diagnosed with brain cancer.

Established in Daniela's memory, the Foundation continues to support groundbreaking research, innovative diagnostic technologies and initiatives aimed at accelerating access to more effective brain cancer treatments.

The gathering highlighted the importance of community, collaboration and the collective impact that can be achieved when people come together with a shared commitment to helping others.

We also thank Lifeline Canberra and the National Australia Day Committee for sharing in this special morning and for the important work they continue to undertake in our community.

It was a privilege to be welcomed to Government House and an occasion the Foundation will remember with great appreciation.
